About the role
The Mater Hospital Administration team has an opportunity available for an experienced Senior Administration Officer to join their team working in Allied Health and Health and Wellness Clinic. This is a permanent, part time role (16 hours per week - Thursday and Friday).
Salary range: $38.81 - $43.17 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
This position is a front of house Senior Administration Officer within a mixed Private and Public Allied Health Clinic. Your role will involve but not limited to:
- Providing Exceptional Customer Service to patients and clients
- Booking and managing outpatient appointments in TAHDIS (Team Allied Health Data Information System)
- Register and update patient details in iPM
- Invoice/receipt patients in Totalcare and using HICAPS. (Including workcover, NDIS and DVA patients)
- Following up outstanding patient accounts
- Manage phone calls from patients and clinical staff taking a variety of enquiries
- Stock ordering in Navision and WINC
- Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality, complying with administration, and financial policy and procedures. Maintaining accurate, current and accessible files
- Continually demonstrate highly developed written communication skills including ability to draft routine correspondence on behalf of management.
- Provide administrative assistance to other senior staff and others as requested
- Exercise judgement where necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined
About you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous Totalcare/billing experience (highly desirable)
- Previous experience in using HICAPS (desirable)
- Must be able to work autonomously as well a team
- High level of customer service, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, organise and prioritise work effectively within a busy, fast-paced, demanding environment
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills
- Strong computer skills including competence in Administration systems (and the ability to quickly learn new systems)
- Ability to use programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel
