Job Description:

This role plays a vital role in supporting employee training and development initiatives. The Training and OD Specialist will participate in assessing training effectiveness, coordinating logistics for development programs, and assisting with onboarding activities. The specialist supports performance management, tracks employee training records, and maintains relevant HR systems. Additionally, this position assists with maintaining employee records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and managing separation processes. As key administrative support, this role also serves will staff the reception desk as needed, ensuring professional and efficient interactions with visitors and employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Experience/Licensing:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, marketing and communications, or related field
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in training and/or human resources, or related field.
• Experience in higher education preferred.
• Proven ability to effectively manage projects and tasks independently.
Communication and Other Skills:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required to relate effectively with staff, faculty and students.
• Excellent organizational skills are required.
• Exceptional computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office are required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills are required.
• Must have the ability to, as well as meet the requirements to complete and maintain mandatory training per the University mandatory training policy pursuant to the deadlines set forth therein.
