Advisor, Professional Academic in Richmond Campus
Advises assigned students for the purpose of assisting them in establishing plans and goals. Provides onboarding services to assist with required petitions, transfer credits, and course scheduling. Assists with graduation clearance process for assigned students. Reports to Associate Dean and works closely with other college advisors Dean to learn curriculum of relevant departments and assist and track curricular processes and changes. Utilizes university resources such as DegreeWorks, Advising 360, Banner, and Slate to process information and keep timely and accurate records. Interacts with students through meetings, phone, and/or email to troubleshoot or problem solve advising and retention challenges.

This graduate assistant will be a student leader at the Noel Studio for Academic Creativity. They will be responsible for providing academic support to other EKU students; leading Noel Studio/in-class workshops on writing and research; and training undergraduate consultants. Graduate assistants are offered a variety of opportunities to develop additional skills in writing, communication, leadership, research, professional development, workshop/class instruction, and administrative roles.
