Job Summary/Basic Functions

The CFI-I and MEI Flight instructor promotes all facets of flight training in support of EKU Center for Aviation including ground instruction, flight training and simulator training in accordance with the University and FAA regulations, requirements and procedures. Maintain utmost safety protocols, a positive attitude, encourage new and current flight students while maintaining accurate records and ensure course standards, training requirements and ensuring objectives are met by each student in a timely manner within the various ratings offered by EKU Center for Aviation.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: 300+ hours of flight time is required.

Licensure & Certifications: FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Instrument Instructor (CFI-I) and Multi Engine Instructor (MEI) ratings are required

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

 

Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the needs of the unit, available sponsorship budget, and the qualifications of the candidate.
