Job Summary/Basic Functions

The College of STEM Dean’s Office is accepting applications for a Federal Work Study Student Office Assistant for the Fall 2024 semester, with option to renew for the Summer semester and next academic year.

The Office Assistant will provide administrative support in the College of STEM Dean's Office in the Science Building. The successful candidate will perform office duties such as front desk reception; clerical work such as data entry, copying, filing, large mailings; and other similar duties as needed.

Familiarity with clerical processes and desktop-based computer programs such as Microsoft Office is preferred. Applicants should have fine attention to detail, office-based computer fluency, aptitudes in time-management and organizational-competency, and excellent communication skills, and adhere to FERPA regulations.

Shifts will vary on candidate’s availability during official office hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Applicants with major(s) in the College of STEM are encouraged to apply. 

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Degree or GED required. 
  • Must be enrolled at EKU 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Be eligible for Federal Work Study.
