Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Associate Director of Advising Services is responsible for Exploratory, Associate of General Studies (AGS), Non-Degree Seeking, Visiting Student, and Dual Credit academic advising, supporting university-wide advising, and assisting with university- wide student success efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in Advising, Counseling, Student Personnel Service, Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or in an academic discipline with relevant administrative work experience in advising and student success.

Experience: Five years of higher education or related experience is required.

Job Duties:

  • 30% - Oversee and monitor advising and interventions for Exploratory, AGS, and Success First students, including the supervision of Academic & Career Advisors. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Assists with orientation and registration by planning, developing and presenting information, assisting students with advising/registration processes, and representing the college at other recruitment functions/events. - ()
  • 20% - Collaborate with University stakeholders in leading student advising events, interventions and activities. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Collaborate with OACS leadership in leading the area and developing staff. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - ()
