Job Summary/Basic Functions FYL's are high-achieving students, role models, and mentors inside and outside the classroom through the Office of First-Year Courses and Learning Communities. FYL's are assigned to be a peer mentor within a GSD 101-Foundation of Learning- Student Success Seminar Course during the fall semester where they will attend their assigned class to offer support to first-year students. If selected to be a FYL, students would be required to register for GST 300 "Principles of Peer Mentoring/Tutoring" which meets on MW-3:35-4:50 pm that will provide training and support throughout the semester. |
