Job Summary/Basic Functions

Lead efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporations and foundations to maximize their philanthropic support for EKU. Monitor applications and agreements to ensure compliance and timely execution. Collaborate with faculty and program leaders on campus to identify their needs and search for appropriate corporate or foundation partners to request funding.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: 3 years of progressively increasing responsibility and track record for successful fundraising.

Licensure & Certifications: Valid driver's license is required.

Job Duties:

  • 80% - Research and identify corporations and foundations which would be likely partners to fund initiatives. Work with various partners on campus to get necessary information to write and apply for funding to align with university priorities. Coordinate with AVP when in person communications are necessary. Monitor deadlines for submissions. Write grants and applications. Submit all materials by deadlines and secure funding for highest University priorities. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Oversee corporation/foundation agreements. Ensuring that language and criteria are accurate and compliant. Ensure agreements are completed in timely manner, signed and documented by all appropriate parties. Monitor compliance with grants received, timelines, and required reporting on grants received. Steward gifts as appropriate. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Support the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - (Essential)
