Job Summary/Basic Functions

The College of STEM Dean’s Office is accepting applications for a Federal Work Study Student Office Assistant for the Fall 2025 semester, with options to renew each semester as needed.

The Office Assistant will provide administrative support in the College of STEM Dean's Office in the Science Building. The successful candidate will perform office duties such as front desk reception; clerical work such as data entry, copying, filing, large mailings; and other similar duties as needed.

Familiarity with clerical processes and desktop-based computer programs such as Microsoft Office is preferred. Applicants should have fine attention to detail, office-based computer fluency, aptitudes in time-management and organizational-competency, excellent communication skills, and adhere to FERPA regulations.

Shifts will vary on candidate’s availability during official office hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Applicants with major(s) in the College of STEM are encouraged to apply. This is a Federal Work Study position and starts at $10.00/hour.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Degree or GED required.  
  • Applicants must be enrolled at EKU at time of employment and be eligible for Federal Work Study.
