Job Summary/Basic Functions

Eastern Kentucky University is seeking a Part-time Dual-Credit Instructor of Engineering & Technology to teach Dual-Credit college-level courses both online and in-person. A minimum of a master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Engineering, Technology, or a related field, from a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution, is required for consideration. Official copies of transcripts and credentials are required for hire. (Unofficial copies of transcripts are accepted for initial online application.) Experience teaching post-secondary and/or college readiness courses is preferred. This position begins Fall 2025 and may be renewed on an as-needed basis.

Dual Credit Instructors are credentialed high school teachers approved by Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) academic departments to teach academic credit bearing courses on-site at their institution. These instructors deliver college-level content aligned with EKU curriculum standards - ensuring academic integrity, instructional rigor, and a consistent student experience. Dual Credit Instructors serve as the Instructor of Record and deliver instruction using department-approved syllabi, assessments, and course materials. This role is central to providing early college access while upholding EKU's academic standards and student success mission.

Faculty must meet EKU and SACSCOC faculty credential requirements and must be formally approved by the corresponding EKU academic department prior to assignment.

Minimum Qualifications
