Job Summary/Basic Functions

A Graphic Designer provides creative direction, conceptual design, and design production for a wide range of projects produced by the office including, print, web, broadcast, and multi-media collateral. This position will ensure consistency with university brand guidelines and brand fulfillment for both internally and externally produced communication materials across multiple channels.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Experience: Successful graphic design work experience.

Licensure & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree is required. Degrees in graphic communications, journalism or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

A professional working knowledge of graphic arts production and design for multiple communications channels

Job Duties:

  • 30% - Responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design solutions that meet marketing and branding objectives. - (Essential)
  • 50% - Produces client-specific projects and, as requested, collateral to support the marketing priorities such as, but not limited to, books, journals, posters, booklets, brochures and other printed or digital graphic projects. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Interacts with clients to develop and maintain a positive working relationship and to gain a strong understanding of marketing goals and objectives. - (Essential)
