Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Assistant Director of Athletics Marketing is, responsible for developing and implementing creative marketing and promotional strategies that elevate the game day atmosphere, enhance the fan experience, and strengthen student and community engagement. This role plays a key part in supporting the overall brand of EKU Athletics while fostering a culture of excitement, school spirit, and inclusivity across all athletic programs.
o Assist in the creation and execution of comprehensive marketing and promotional plans for home athletic events with a strong emphasis on enhancing the overall fan experience.
o Lead the development of gameday scripts, in-game promotions, and fan engagement initiatives for various athletic teams.
o Collaborate with creative services, communications, ticketing, and event operations to deliver cohesive and high-quality marketing campaigns.
o Support sponsorship fulfillment efforts by coordinating gameday activations and ensuring a high-quality presentation for partners.
o Provide oversight of student interns.
o Work closely with campus partners, student organizations, and residence life to create initiatives that drive student attendance.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree.

Experience: One year of work related experience in intercollegiate athletics.

Job Duties:

  • 40% - Implement and Execute Marketing Plans. Follow and hit deadlines within current marketing plan to allow Athletics the best opportunity to succeed and increase attendance numbers significantly. - (Essential)
  • 25% - Collaborate with creative services, communications, ticketing, and event operations to deliver cohesive and high-quality marketing campaigns. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Community Relationships and Group Sales. Responsible for creating and maintaining relationships within the community and turning that into revenue generation through group sales, group experiences, or season tickets. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Game Day Operations Support. Support marketing efforts during the game day experience for all home sports. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Supports the office functions by completing all other duties assigned. - (Essential)
