Visiting Assistant Professor in Food & Nutrition in Richmond Campus
The Department of Applied Human Sciences at Eastern Kentucky University seeks a nine-month, visiting assistant professor for Academic Year 2025-2026. Applicants should hold an earned master’s degree in Nutrition, Food Sciences, or a related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. A doctoral degree is preferred but not required. The position begins August 2025. The position serves the bachelor’s degree Food and Nutrition program. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Dietitian with successful work experience in the field of dietetics. The committee also seeks candidates with evidence of prior experience in teaching. The search committee is especially interested in candidates with applied experience and flexibility in areas of instruction. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in a 4/4 annual teaching load in two concentrations of the Food and Nutrition program: Dietetics and Culinary Nutrition & Food Management. Courses may include, but are not limited to: Human Nutrition, Community Nutrition, Experimental Foods, Food Preparation & Composition and Medical Nutrition Therapy. The successful candidate will also maintain scholarly engagement, and service to the university, community, and profession.
