Department Summary: Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences ( http://www.drake.edu/cphs/ ) is excited to launch a search for a full-time, Assistant Director of Student Affairs. This position represents an excellent opportunity for an outstanding individual to join our team that supports our innovative healthcare degree programs. Reporting to the Director of Student Affairs and collaborating with college administrators and student services staff, the Assistant Director will implement and maintain initiatives to support student academic success, degree planning, faculty academic advising and mentoring development, student leadership programming, and professional program orientation activities. In addition, the Assistant Director will focus on student retention efforts within the college and at Drake University by implementing and supporting programming designed to foster student engagement and a sense of belonging and community. |

Job Summary: To thrive in this role, the individual will have strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) to interact with and develop positive, helpful, cooperative working relationships to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students. The successful candidate will demonstrate collaborative skills to implement initiatives to support students and the organizational and time management skills to keep materials in order, track various projects, maintain files, and follow through on tasks to completion. They will also have the initiative and ability to work independently while thriving in a setting requiring collaboration and teamwork for maximal efficiency and effectiveness. Maintenance of confidential information is also required. |

Minimum Qualifications: - Master’s degree in an education or student affairs field |

Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) or more years of related experience is preferred. |
