    Drake University’s Zimpleman College of Business invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor position in the Management program to teach a section of Introduction to Entrepreneurship during the Fall 2025 semester. This part-time adjunct position involves teaching one section of this undergraduate marketing research course in-person late morning on Mondays and Wednesdays from August - December. Course Description: This course introduces students to entrepreneurship and the vital role entrepreneurs and innovation play in the global economy. Using the current leading business model generator, Business Model Canvas, this course uses a project-based, immersive, and intensive approach to guide you in making assumptions and utilizing data gained through research to conceptualize and capitalize on opportunities resulting in the formation of a business idea. Course topics include idea generation, mapping the ecosystem, creating customer profiles, developing an initial marketing strategy, identifying a minimal viable product, and cultivating a growth mindset to pivot or persevere to overcome rejection and failure. Students will develop resiliency while developing research, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Assistant Professor, Occupational Therapy in Iowa

    The successful candidate will report to the OTD Program Director/Chairperson and will oversee and teach the research series courses and mentor junior OT faculty in research design and data analysis. Specific responsibilities include course development and teaching based on content expertise, student advising and mentoring, college and community service, and scholarship at a level consistent with the appointment. Faculty in the OTD program teach 11-13 credits annually and are expected to engage in academic and professional service to advance the college, University and the profession, and scholarship, including dissemination of the results. Duties will include overseeing faculty-student research projects, including determining project groups; mentoring junior faculty scholarship development; and developing and maintaining a fundable line of scholarship. The search committee is particularly interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
