We are looking for an individual with solid management experience gained in a fast-paced hospitality/retail environment to join as an Assistant Store Manager for our Relay store at Cairns Airport!
Offering a wide range of products including newspapers, books, magazines, stationery, and confectionery our Relay store is a one shop destination to surprise and delight our travellers.
This is an awesome chance for you to support our Store Manager with the recruitment, training and day-to-day management of this great store.
This is a fast paced, varied, and hands-on role with a strong focus on customer service and people management.
We’re looking for an experienced 2IC who will:
- Manage the day-to-day store operations alongside and in the absence of the Store Manager
- Provide a high standard of customer service
- Lead from the front and ensure all team members are motivated and perform tasks according to standards and procedures
- Support in the administration of rosters and timecards
- Be a true brand ambassador & foster a collaborative team environment; encourage a high-performance culture
- Provide effective training to staff in the areas of customer service, product knowledge, inventory control and merchandising

As we're located in a dynamic airport environment, we operate outside typical business hours. We are looking for someone who is reasonably flexible with availability as trading hours will fall outside normal business hours.
