Job Summary The Allied Health Department of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for a Health Information Technology (HIT) Instructor and Medical Coding and Reimbursement Program Coordinator. The Health Information Technology (HIT) and Medical Coding and Reimbursement Program Coordinator is responsible for the leadership, administration, and ongoing development of both academic programs in accordance with institutional goals, accreditation standards, and industry demands. |
Job Duties: This position ensures program excellence by overseeing curriculum development, student advisement, student support, clinical partnerships, and regulatory compliance. The coordinator plays a critical role in fostering student success and workforce readiness in the fields of health information technology and medical coding. |
Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or related field (Master’s preferred). |
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with programmatic accreditation processes, such as CAHIIM. |
Additional Skills Requested: Utilization of a learning management system such as Blackboard for communication and feedback. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. |
