Job Summary
Connects students, faculty and employers to facilitate meaningful experiential learning opportunities that support career readiness and workforce needs. This position develops, coordinates, and evaluates work-based learning programs such as internships, apprenticeships, job shadowing and employer site visits.
Grant Funded 6 month position
Job Duties:
Educate and recruit for all aspects of work- and competency-based learning programs across multiple disciplines.
Collaborate with faculty to integrate work-based and competency-based learning into curriculum and learning outcomes.
Cultivate and maintain partnerships with local and regional employers to develop internship and apprenticeship opportunities.
Conduct employer outreach, site visits, and evaluations to ensure quality learning experiences.
Advise and prepare students for participation in work-based learning experiences through workshops, orientations sessions and individual coaching.
Refer students to the Career Center with application materials, professional behaviors, and goal-setting related to their work-based learning placements.
Maintain accurate records of student participation, employer partners, and placement outcomes.
Track and analyze data to measure program effectiveness and student success.
Prepare reports and presentations for institutional reporting requirements.
Partner with community organizations, workforce boards, and industry leaders to expand opportunities for work-based learning and advisory board participation.
Promote work-based learning opportunities through marketing materials, presentations, and social media.
Identify collegewide work-based learning opportunities in every area across the college.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and at least four (4) years related to career services, employer relations, workforce development or related area experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and at least six (6) years related to career services, employer relations, workforce development or related area experience
