Support Enterprise Software Implementation at Virginia DMV
Help Launch Maximo Facilities Management Software Across the Agency
Want to see how large organizations implement enterprise software? You'll be part of the team rolling out Maximo—IBM's facilities management platform—across DMV's infrastructure. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience with software integration in a real operational environment.
The Opportunity
The Virginia DMV is modernizing its facilities management operations with Maximo, a comprehensive asset and work management system. You'll support the implementation team during the critical rollout phase, gaining exposure to how enterprise software integrations actually work beyond the classroom.
The Project: Facilities Services & Planning
Support the rollout of Maximo facilities management software across DMV operations.
You'll work alongside the Facilities Services team during a major technology implementation, helping ensure data accuracy, supporting user adoption, and learning how modern software applications integrate within large organizations.
What You'll Do:
Software Implementation Support:
Assist with Maximo rollout activities and deployment tasks

Support data verification and quality assurance during migration

Data & Organization:

Verify asset and facilities data for system integration

Support data cleanup and standardization efforts

Help organize documentation for the new system

Minimum Qualifications
• At least 18 years of age at the start of employment/internship
• As of May 2026, must have completed at least 2 semesters (24 credit hours) and be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a two or four-year college/university
• Recent graduates (May 2026 or December 2025) are also eligible to apply
• Possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale (exceptions can apply in extenuating circumstances)
• Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)
• Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills
• Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week during the summer internship program
• Must be able to work on-site
Additional Considerations
• Recently graduated with an associates or bachelor’s degree in December 2025 or May 2026 OR as of May 2026, completed at least 4 semesters (48 credit hours) and be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a two or four-year college/university in Data Analytics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields
