2026-2027 Game Operations Student Staff in Michigan
Lake Superior State University Athletics is seeking dependable and enthusiastic students to join the Game Day Operations Team. These essential roles support the execution of home athletic events for Laker Hockey, Volleyball, and Men’s and Women’s Basketball, ensuring a professional and entertaining experience for student-athletes, fans, and visitors. Key Responsibilities: Students may be assigned one or more of the following roles depending on availability, experience, and interest: 1. Scoreboard & Time Clock Operator Operate the game clock, scoreboard, shot clock, and penalty timers using official systems, Work closely with officials and scorekeepers to ensure accurate timing and display, Maintain focus and attention to detail throughout the game. 2. Technical Assistant Assist with technical aspects including lighting, jumbotron operation and sound support 5. On-Ice / On-Court Support Set up and tear down game equipment (e.g., nets, scorer’s tables, signage, warm-up areas). Support intermission and timeout activities Help with managing benches, locker room access, and team logistics.

Scorekeeper for all ACHA D2 men's and ACHA DI women's hockey games played at Lake Superior State University. Some exceptions may apply to off campus games played at the Big Bear Arena or Pullar Stadium. Position requires availability most weekends throughout the hockey season.

Join the School of Engineering and Technology as a Student Ambassador and help share our passion, innovation, and community with future Lakers! SET is seeking enthusiastic Student Ambassadors to build relationships and create meaningful connections with prospective students, their families and surrounding communities, inspiring them to choose Lake Suprior State University (LSSU) for their higher education. Gains hands-on experience in public speaking, event planning, digital communication, and team leadership while sharing your passion for engineering. Responsibilities include showcasing LSSU educational and future opportunities for prospective students, first years and transfer students, answering questions, providing virtual and in-person tours, conducting hands-on activities, and encouraging students to visit campus. Student Ambassadors communicate with prospective SET students via email, text, phone, social media, etc. Additional responsibilities include planning, marketing, and hosing LSSU SET student events to include one fall event, one winter event and the Spring Banquet.

Responsibilities include filming, editing, and publishing high-quality short-form videos (e.g. Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) highlighting engineering labs, campus life, and student club events. Design eye-catching graphics and flyers for departmental announcements using tools like Canva and Adobe Suite. Monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, and inquires from prospective students and families across SET social platforms. Launch interactive social campaigns, such as "Day in the Life" takeovers, live Q&A sessions, and student spotlights. Execute pre-event digital marketing campaigns to drive registration and engagement.
