FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology, this position is responsible for the administration of the university’s core server infrastructure and data center systems. This includes installation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and support of Microsoft Windows Servers, Linux systems, and virtualized environments. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as technical lead on Windows Server and workstation projects. o Oversee administration of Microsoft Active Directory Services (ADS) environment. o Manage VMware/VSphere infrastructure. o Administer file and print servers. Lead development and administration of Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Networks (SAN). Provide cross-platform application support, development, and deployment. o Develop and support SQL-based applications and PowerShell scripts. o Maintain account synchronization and integration across platforms. Maintain and support server environments: o Perform regular system backups and updates. o Troubleshoot server and workstation issues. o Install, upgrade, and patch hardware, software, and peripherals. Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline operations. Ensure documentation for systems and processes is accurate and up to date. Other duties as assigned.
