  • First-Year Experience Librarian in Elon Main Campus

    Carol Grotnes Belk Library at Elon University seeks a creative, collaborative individual with a genuine enthusiasm for teaching to fill the position of First-Year Experience Librarian. The person in this role will join our growing Teaching and Learning team as we develop foundational literacies and skills that prepare students to succeed in their majors, undergraduate research, and lifelong learning. The First-Year Experience Librarian will also lead the library's engagement with campus programs that help students thrive, with a focus on transfer, first-generation, and historically underrepresented students. The FYE Librarian will serve as liaison to the Department of English and will work with a collaborative team of librarians that supports the teaching, outreach, and assessment goals of the library. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a commitment to Elon's values of Inclusive Excellence and help foster a welcoming climate within Belk Library and the Elon University community. Librarians of all experience levels, including early-career professionals, are encouraged to apply.   • Social Sciences Research Librarian in Elon Main Campus

    Carol Grotnes Belk Library at Elon University seeks a Social Sciences Research Librarian. This role will build upon a successful record of connecting with students, faculty, and staff through instruction, outreach, and individualized consultation. The Social Sciences Research Librarian will work across several social science departments to strengthen information literacy, curricular engagement, and disciplinary inquiry. This position will also contribute to Belk Library's emerging Research and Publishing team by helping develop a service portfolio that cultivates scholarship and undergraduate research, including data services, grant and publication guidance, emerging tools and technologies, open research practices, evidence synthesis, and strategies for advancing open access and the library's new institutional repository.     Student Success Coaches play a pivotal role in achieving Elon’s student retention, persistence, and graduation goals. By fostering strong interpersonal relationships and implementing data-informed interventions, Success Coaches encourage each student’s retention and persistence to graduation while enhancing each student’s holistic academic, social, and personal success. Success Coaches report directly to the Assistant Dean for Student Success and Retention while providing secondary support (and reporting) to the Executive Director of Elon’s Koenigsberger Learning Center.

  • Evening and Weekend Reference Librarian - Law in Elon - Greensboro Campus

    The Elon University School of Law Library is located in Greensboro, North Carolina. The law library attempts to fully meet the educational and research needs of the Elon Law community, including students, staff, faculty, and adjuncts. The Law Library also serves as a source of legal information for the Elon Law alumni base, practicing attorneys in Greensboro, and provides limited services to the general public. The Evening and Weekend Reference Librarian – Law position is part of the law library staff of seven positions. One of the key responsibilities of this position is legal research instruction. The position requires co-teaching (and occasional individual teaching) in the library instructional program along with three other librarians, including the library director. In collaboration with the Acquisitions & Electronic Resources Librarian, this position oversees the library’s Federal Depository Program. Although infrequent, travel to and from Elon University’s central campus and Charlotte campus may be needed. All required travel and most travel for professional development is supported by the law library.
