    • Full-Time Teacher (Grades 3-5), Roberts Academy at Elon University in Elon Main Campus

      The Full-Time Teacher provides direct supervision of and instruction to students in whole-class (up to approx. 12 students) and small-group settings. Teachers will instruct a 3rd or 4th grade homeroom in a whole-class setting (up to 12 students) and instruct students in small groups (4-6 students) as well, implementing the curricula and programs of the school. Teachers will be responsible for assessing student performance, making data-informed decisions about instruction, and contributing to/writing student goals and reports. Teachers work closely with fellow teachers and the school administration to provide instruction and support to all Academy students. About the Work Unit Roberts Academy at Elon University is an elementary school for students with dyslexia. In the 2026-2027 school year, the Academy will enroll students in 3rd and 4th grade. The Roberts Academy at Elon University’s instructional approach follows the principles of intensive intervention for students with dyslexia who have the most persistent academic needs. Students at Roberts Academy at Elon University receive individualized, evidence-based instruction that seeks to leverage their unique strengths and interests while intentionally targeting their greatest areas of need. While specifically a school for students with dyslexia, Roberts Academy at Elon University offers a comprehensive program and learning environment that provides students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to transition to a variety of school settings.

      Career Services Advising Fellow in Elon Main Campus

      The Career Advising Fellow is a full-time, one-year appointment (with the possibility to extend to two years) within Elon University’s Student Professional Development Center (SPDC), beginning in August 2026. Reporting to the Associate Director of Career Services for Pre-Professional Health and Health Professions Advising, the Fellow supports the SPDC’s mission to prepare students for meaningful professional lives through personalized advising, teaching, and programmatic initiatives with a primary focus on serving students in the School of Health Sciences. As an integral member of the SPDC team, the Fellow provides individual and group career advising, co-teaches career exploration courses, assists in event planning and marketing, and collaborates across campus to advance SPDC initiatives and support students in health professional training programs. The position offers a comprehensive introduction to the field of career services and higher education administration, with particular exposure to the unique needs of students pursuing careers in the clinical health sciences, while contributing to Elon’s nationally recognized model for student success. This position will regularly collaborate with faculty and staff in the School of Health Sciences, including the emerging Elon Charlotte Master of Physician Assistant Studies program. This 10-month, in-person position includes a $2,680 monthly stipend, on-campus housing, a meal plan, and full Elon University employee benefits, including health insurance, paid holidays, and vacation/sick leave.

    • Chief of Campus Safety and Police in Elon Main Campus

      Reporting to the vice president for finance and administration, the chief of campus safety and police provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the university’s comprehensive public safety and police functions. The chief directs and supervises all 24/7 operations, ensuring a safe, secure, and service-oriented environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. A central focus of the role is advancing a community policing philosophy through visible engagement and strong partnerships with all students, faculty, staff, campus stakeholders, and local law enforcement agencies. The chief also provides leadership for campus security infrastructure, including surveillance, access control, and related technologies, ensuring alignment with evolving safety needs. This position oversees all aspects of departmental operations, including patrol, investigations, communications, parking enforcement, and event security. The chief is responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, and strategic plans aligned with institutional priorities and accreditation standards. This role also leads the recruitment, development, and evaluation of personnel, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement. The chief leads a staff of 42, including North Carolina state-certified sworn officers, non-sworn community service officers, dispatch, and administrative personnel, and manages a budget exceeding $4 million. The department operates as a North Carolina-certified law enforcement agency under G.S. 74G and maintains accreditation through the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) and the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). Additionally, this position ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, including oversight of Clery Act requirements, crime statistics reporting, and records management. The chief collaborates with the dean of the Elon University School of Law and contracted security providers to ensure safety at the Greensboro campus and to oversee security operations in Charlotte. In partnership with institutional leadership, the chief also supports planning related to the merger with Queens University of Charlotte.
