Associate Director of Content Marketing in Elon Main Campus
The Associate Director of Content Marketing leads the development of high-impact content that advances Elon University’s national reputation, supports enrollment priorities and strengthens engagement across key audiences, including prospective students and families at critical decision-making points in the enrollment process. This role is responsible for shaping messaging, storytelling and user journeys across digital platforms, advertising campaigns, print materials, websites and social media channels that help drive discovery, consideration, applications and enrollment. The Associate Director develops and oversees content that brings Elon’s academic excellence, student outcomes, faculty expertise and alumni successes to life, ensuring that prospective students clearly understand Elon's academic distinctiveness, career preparation, mentorship model and transformational outcomes. This role plays a central part in translating institutional strengths into compelling narratives that support recruitment, yield and long-term reputation building. This position works in close partnership with the Director of Multimedia Marketing to co-develop campaign strategy, with the multimedia team leading creative production, paid media execution and channel optimization, while the Associate Director of Content Marketing is responsible for messaging strategy, copywriting, narrative cohesion and alignment between advertising and in-person experiences, including campus visits, admissions communications and enrollment events. This position collaborates with the Associate Director of Social Media Marketing, providing input to ensure social media efforts are appropriately leveraged and integrated into broader content and campaign strategies, particularly in shaping perceptions of Elon among prospective students and peer influencers.
