Purpose of Position

The University of North Dakota (UND) has ongoing interest in conducting research related to weather impacts on agricultural production in the Northern Great Plains region. Current research toward this interest includes, climate model downscaling, satellite data assimilation, remote sensing, machine learning, and statistical analysis. Drs. Zhang and Marquis are looking for a post-bachelor-level student to help with analysis, reporting, and processing code development.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Atmospheric Sciences or related field.
  • Strong software & programming skills (e.g., Python).
  • Experience with remote sensing and/or agricultural analysis.
  • Previous experience as a research assistant within the UND ATSC department.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
