Contingent Upon Funding: Contingent upon external funding

Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5)

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Model Development: (1) Develop and implement advanced power system models, including electricity market simulation tools, to support research objectives. (2) Create power system techno-economic models to analyze and improve the reliability and efficiency of the electrical grid. (3) Design and implement power system planning models for long-term infrastructure assessment and expansion planning.

Mentorship and Guidance: (1) Provide mentorship and guidance to undergraduate and graduate
students participating in research projects. (2) Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment to support the academic and professional development of students.

Proposal Development: (1) Assist in the development of research proposals for funding opportunities, including federal grants, foundation grants, and industry-sponsored projects. (2) Collaborate with the principal investigator and research team to conceptualize, structure, and write compelling research proposals.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

Physical Effort: Light physical effort. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.

Risk: No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
