Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Coordinator of Athletic Advancement & Events is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all athletics development and donor engagement events in support of NM State Athletics’ fundraising and stewardship goals. This role manages all aspects of event logistics, including venue coordination, vendor management, invitations, programming, catering, staffing, and event setup and teardown, while also overseeing premium hospitality operations at athletic events and ensuring high-quality donor experiences. The coordinator develops and maintains detailed event timelines, budgets, and operational plans and serves as the primary on-site event manager, providing leadership and oversight to staff, vendors, and volunteers during events.

In addition, the position supports annual giving initiatives for the Lou & Mary Henson Excellence Fund by assisting with campaign execution, including digital, email, and direct mail efforts, and contributing to donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies. The coordinator assists in creating and distributing donor communications such as newsletters and email campaigns, coordinates donor benefit fulfillment including programs like Aggie Wheels, and maintains accurate records of donor engagement and event participation within the CRM system. This role also collaborates with athletics development and external communications teams and provides support for special projects and additional duties as assigned to advance the mission of NM State Athletics Development.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
Associate's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree.
