Bargaining Unit Announcement: This is a bargaining unit position with American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME).

Contingent Upon Funding: Contingent upon external funding

Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5)

If Not a Standard Work Schedule: 

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Create JV's, create reports, create and maintain logs on expenditures, reconcile purchases against expenditures, report on findings, communicate with external vendors, problem solve external accounts when necessary, liaise with CFO, Program Director and PI on all fiscal matters requiring attention, assist in internal purchasing policy development, assist with proposal budget preparation, assist with training new admin staff and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
High School diploma + 4 years of relevant experience or an Associate's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience.

Equivalent Qualifications: 

Preferred Qualifications: 
Experience with NMSU, specifically HeadStart
Experience with Banner, Excel, and AggieMart

Special Certification/Licensure: 

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work is normally performed indoors.

Physical Effort: No or very limited physical effort required.

Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.

Risk: No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
