Target Hourly/Salary Rate: $43,908.80 – $47,735.83, commensurate with qualifications.

Appointment Full-time Equivalency: 1.0

FLSA Status: Exempt

Bargaining Unit Announcement: This is NOT a bargaining unit position with American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME).

Contingent Upon Funding: Not Applicable

Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5)

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate the disposition and destruction of NMSU records; ensuring all procedures are followed and serve as a liaison with business units and the Records Management Office. Provide direct customer support by adapting general records retention and disposition guidance to user-specific situations. Assist with the preparation and delivery of Records Management and Banner Document Management System (BDMS) training. Provide first level BDMS support, including scanning, indexing, reporting, queries, testing, deletions, and corrections.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
Associate's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree.

Equivalent Qualifications: 

Preferred Qualifications: 
Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of experience related to the job duties and responsibilities as outlined.

Special Certification/Licensure: 

 

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

Physical Effort: Light physical effort. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.

Lifting Requirements: Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.

Risk: Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
