Job Duties and Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the academic progress of all 130 football student-athletes. Provide support to student-athletes in their efforts to achieve their academic, athletic and personal goals. Specialist will evaluate degree audits and other academic records to ensure conformity with NCAA initial, transfer and continuing eligibility regulations. Be proactive with monitoring students’ academic progress, providing reports to the compliance staff and coaches and for ensuring the timely certification of the football team. Specialist is required to attend daily and weekly football staff meetings and provide clear and accurate academic updates to the head football coach and the football staff on each football student. Specialist is also actively involved in the recruitment process, including meeting with each recruit on Saturdays and Sundays, and for providing the appropriate academic support through the student-athlete’s graduation from the institution. Evening and weekend work are often required as well as traveling with the football team. During team travel, will serve as the official proctor for all work completed on the road and meet with all traveling student-athletes to ensure work is being completed during travel. Will also organize, coordinate, and implement study hall sessions as necessary. This is an in-person, on-campus position.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree + 7 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 5 years of relevant experience.
