Job Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Departmental IT Support and Coordination
• Manages day-to-day IT support to Facilities and Services users
• Coordinates with central IT regarding technical support issues, service requests, systems access, infrastructure needs, hardware/software concerns, and issue escalation.
• Serves as a liaison between Facilities and Services and central IT to help ensure effective communication, problem resolution, and alignment with institutional technology standards and services.
• Assists with user guidance and training related to departmental systems and basic IT processes.
2. PD&E Project Support and IT-Related Project Management
• Supports Project Development and Engineering with IT-related aspects of project planning, design, implementation, closeout, and transition to operations.
• Coordinates project activities, technical deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder communication for assigned IT-related and systems-related projects.
• Assists with project tracking, documentation, implementation coordination, and issue resolution for departmental and PD&E projects involving technology systems, digital tools, reporting, and integration needs.
• Coordinates with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, vendors, and technical teams to support project execution and ensure that technology requirements are appropriately incorporated into planning and delivery processes.
• Assists in management of departmental technology initiatives and IT-related projects that support Facilities and Services business processes and operations.
3. Enterprise Systems and Reporting Support
• Supports implementation, administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of enterprise systems and digital workflows used by Facilities and Services.
• Assists with implementation and ongoing support of the CPPM module, including user support, process coordination, system functionality review, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Supports development, implementation, testing, validation, maintenance, and refinement of database reports and reporting tools for operational, project, and management purposes.
• Helps identify opportunities to improve business processes, reporting visibility, and systems functionality across Facilities and Services.
• Assists with documenting system processes, reporting logic, and user procedures.
4. Technical Review, Integration, and Compliance Support
• Assists with review of plans, specifications, technical documents, and project materials to support compliance, compatibility, and effective integration of technology-related components.
• Supports review of systems and software integration across facilities and project environments, including technology interfaces connected to operational and building systems.
• Helps ensure technology-related components of projects align with university standards, departmental needs, and maintainability considerations.
• Assists in evaluating technical requirements and design implications related to digitally integrated environments, including coordination involving software and systems used in conjunction with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) environments and related facilities infrastructure.
• Supports implementation and maintenance of technology-related processes associated with project delivery and operational support.
5. Documentation, Training, and Administrative Support
• Maintains records, technical documentation, project files, procedures, status reports, and related materials for assigned duties and projects.
• Provides user guidance and training documentation as needed.
• Assists with procurement coordination for technology-related hardware, software, licensing, or services, as assigned.
• Performs other related duties as assigned in support of departmental, divisional, or university priorities.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
Bachelor's degree + 4 years of relevant experience

Equivalent Qualifications: 
Associate’s Degree + 6 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications: 
Bachelor's degree in a related field, experience in Higher Education, experience with Enterprise IT infrastructure, related support and systems analysis, hardware and software deployment, identify and resolve IT infrastructure deficiencies.
