Job Duties and Responsibilities: The ERSEA Coordinator (Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance) ensures that NMSU Head Start implements Office of Head Start regulations with fidelity. This position maintains compliant eligibility determinations, supports accurate documentation processes, oversees ongoing recruitment and selection efforts, and ensures that enrollment and attendance systems are aligned with federal standards, local procedures, and program goals. The ERSEA Coordinator ensures that technical forms, data systems, and all records are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 2 years of relevant experience.
Equivalent Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Services, Business Administration, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
Experience working with Head Start, early childhood programs, or social services preferred.
Strong knowledge of Office of Head Start ERSEA regulations (training available).
Proficiency in data entry, database systems, and maintaining organized records.
Ability to analyze data, manage multiple tasks, and maintain confidentiality.

Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
