Job Duties and Responsibilities: Overall supervision and management of operations for our Emergency Dispatch Center/Team Members which encompasses personnel guidance/mentorship/leadership, scheduling of emergency dispatchers for 24/7 service coverage, and providing employee training opportunities/professional development; oversight and management of the various communication databases being utilized by dispatchers and ensuring compliance with quality assurance audits; management of all required inspections and software/hardware equipment maintenance, along with identifying equipment needs/requests/acquisitions; collaboration/coordination with other regional dispatch centers with emergency services and technology; and management over many of the following administrative functions associated with crime prevention/trend analysis, public information releases, evidence requests related to criminal proceedings, employee hiring processes, CLERY/Emergency Notification requirements, and fiscal budget preparation/accountability.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
Associate’s Degree + 6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 4 years of relevant experience.

Equivalent Qualifications: 

Preferred Qualifications: 
Previous Dispatch Supervisor Experience.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

Physical Effort: Light physical effort. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.

Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.

Risk: Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
