New Mexico State University Global Campus seeks three Financial Aid Advisors, Univ. to serve as the primary resource for financial aid eligibility, compliance, and funding opportunities while providing guidance on federal, state, institutional, and private aid programs, reviewing applications, determining eligibility, assisting with appeals and academic plans, and supporting student success.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provides NMSU Global Campus support and guidance as a student’s single point of contact for all matters related to financial aid opportunities, including but not limited to federal grants, loans, work study, and state, institutional and private scholarships. Follows federal and state regulations and NMSU policies and procedures in the review and analysis of financial aid applications. Acts as an NMSU Global Campus advisor to students, potential students and families, enforces regulations and policies, serves on appeal committee, creates academic plans for students with Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) issues and recommends solutions on how to improve their status. Effectively presents federal, state and scholarship aid information to individuals, small and large groups. Leads policy research, implementation, documentation, and training of entire NMSU system.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree.

Experience with adult and online learners.
Experience working in fast-paced financial aid and student service environments
Technical Connectivity Requirements:
For roles that use call systems or provide synchronous support, employees must maintain a stable, low-latency internet connection capable of supporting continuous voice communications without interruption. Wired Ethernet is strongly preferred due to its reliability and call quality. Equivalent wired or business-grade connections may be acceptable if they meet all performance and stability requirements.
