Job Duties and Responsibilities: Associate Director Restricted Accounting will supervise the Post Award Administration, Systems and Project Management team. This position is responsible for all Post Award research accounting functions and the development/maintenance of electronic systems in support of Post Award Administration. The individual understands the unique processes involved in the overall research effort and has the ability to comprehend the needs of individual researchers to improve the financial sophistication of SPA and build processes to support SPA and the research community.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
Associate's Degree + 6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 4 years of relevant experience.

Equivalent Qualifications: 

Preferred Qualifications: 
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Preferred experience: Five (5) years of professional experience directly related to the job duties and responsibilities as outlined.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

Physical Effort: No or very limited physical effort required.

Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.
