Job Duties and Responsibilities: Evaluates and develops staffing and security plans for all special events on the NMSU campus; Hiring, training, directing and coordinating Reserve Police Officers and Non-commissioned Traffic and Security Personnel; Conducting security reviews and surveys for Departments and Buildings on campus; and Developing, coordinating and implementing crime prevention programs for the University Community. Develop and assemble security plans for all events on campus and assure they are carried out efficiently and effectively. Responsible for billing for Police Department services as special events, prepare billing documents, send to appropriate departments, create estimates for services. Compile, write, and present reports on operations, services, and outcomes.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
Associate's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree.

Equivalent Qualifications: 
Associate degree and 4 years of experience or 6 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications: 
Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
