Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provides leadership and operational oversight for three high-impact program areas within University Recreation: Intramural Sports, Sport Clubs, and the Outdoor Recreation Office. This position is responsible for supervising staff and student employees, coordinating risk management and safety compliance, managing program budgets and resources, and developing and implementing policies and training standards to support student engagement, safety, and long-term program growth.
Creates, implements and directs NMSU Intramural program. Works with student staff to host intramural events throughout the year. Directs the outdoor office including the climbing wall, low ropes course, outdoor rentals and outdoor adventures. Hires, trains and oversees staff for the outdoor center. responsible for all facets of NMSU’s Sport Club program. Works with various sport clubs to meet NMSU policy and procedures and assists them with their operations.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Associate’s Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 2 years of relevant experience.
