The opportunity   

Are you a people-centric professional with a passion for workplace well-being and employee support? UPA Aged Care Solutions, a leading organisation committed to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, is seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Return to Work Business Partner to join our dynamic People & Culture - WHS team in Wahroonga. 

In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in our organisation's safe and caring culture journey to ensure the successful reintegration of employees returning to work after an absence due to illness, injury, or other personal circumstances.  

Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing effective return-to-work strategies, collaborating with various stakeholders, and providing compassionate guidance to employees throughout their journey.  

What You’ll Be Doing  

  • Assess and evaluate individual employee needs, developing tailored return-to-work plans that consider their unique circumstances and workplace accommodations. 
  • Collaborate closely with managers, insurers, early intervention partners, medical professionals, and HR representatives to facilitate seamless communication and ensure a smooth transition back to the workplace. 
  • Monitor and document the progress of each employee's return-to-work program, providing regular updates and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal success. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for employees, offering empathetic support, guidance, and resources to address any concerns or challenges they may face. 
  • Conduct ongoing training and awareness initiatives to promote a supportive and inclusive organisational culture that values employee well-being and promotes a culture of reporting and prevention.  

What You Bring  

  • To thrive in this role, you must possess exceptional interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of return-to-work best practices, and a commitment to fostering a compassionate and inclusive work environment.  
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in human movement, occupational health and safety, or a related field is highly desirable.
