The University of Mary Washington (UMW) is seeking a Director of Campus Recreation to lead the institution’s comprehensive fitness and wellness program. The Director oversees the department’s strategic planning, staff supervision, budget management, and collaboration with other campus departments. Campus Recreation strives to provide students with leadership and interpersonal skills through a comprehensive recreation program that includes group exercise, intramural sports, sport clubs, outdoor recreation, aquatics, personal training, and physical training. Starting in Fall 2025, Campus Recreation will be part of the newly-established Health and Wellness Office in UMW’s Division of Student Affairs.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Director of Environmental Health/Safety. The Director provides strategic, university-wide leadership in establishing and overseeing plans, procedures, and policies pursuant to federal, state, and local regulations, guidelines, and industry-based best practices intended to eliminate or reduce work-related injuries and environmental pollution. The Director works to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in health and safety programs for students, faculty, and staff. The Director provides support to departments in facilitating their efforts to integrate health and safety into daily operations and planning.

Building Engineer - MUB in UMW

This position is responsible for the maintenance, care, upkeep of UMW building mechanical and electrical operating systems, building structures, equipment and furnishings. This position performs both routine and repair maintenance tasks and is responsible to coordinate the work of UMW staff, contract employees, and/or contractors of the University as required. This position will also provide shift coverage and is tasked with coordinating facilities services support and response to UMW operations. Shifts vary, from Wednesday-Sunday, 8AM-5PM, Monday-Friday 2pm-11pm and Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
