Department Summary The department of biomedical engineering is 10 years old. There are 354 students enrolled in fall 24. The department has graduated more than 400 students who are employed in all the top biomedical companies in the nation, in graduate schools and medical schools, respectively. The department has 13 faculty who have brought in more than $10M in research funding collectively and research expenditures have averaged more than $1.75M in the last 3 years in a row. Our department has a strong culture of interdisciplinary research collaboration, with specific strengths in nanotechnology, advanced biotechnology, genetic engineering, biopolymers and tissue engineering. |
Position Overview Postdoctoral position in the Meckes Research Group at the University of North Texas focuses on understanding the regulation of nanoparticle uptake. The researcher will perform cell-based studies to understand how biomaterial properties impact interactions with nanomaterials important for therapeutic interventions. Research requires extensive experience with oligonucleotides and cell printing technologies. |
