Job Summary The purpose of the Makerspace Supervisor is to inspire our community to become “makers” and embrace knowledge through practical activities that develop skills and encourage inventiveness and creativity. This position will oversee the operations and will forge unique ground in its programming and maintain a welcoming, well-equipped space where patrons of all ages can explore, learn and collaborate. “MakerSpace” activities will offer the latest creative tools accessible to the public but always incorporate the vital human elements that make technology come alive. |

Takes money (fines, fees, etc.), gives receipts, does own balancing; no decision making; authorizes payment of accounts payable based on matching invoices; handles petty cash; makes purchases over $200.
Level & Frequency of Outside Contact
Frequent contact with the public or other organizations; interactions may require obtaining cooperation of people; courtesy and tact are required when dealing with moderately difficult or sensitive issues.
Physical Demands
Office job with little or occasional light physical effort, may require brief periods of muscular exertion, such as standing, lifting, moving, pulling, pushing, etc. The ability to exert up to 20lbs of force occasionally to move objects.
Responsibility for Equipment & Property
Responsible for assigned equipment/property used outside of office; responsible for handing out to and retrieving property/equipment from employees and keeping inventory; use of agency vehicle.
