The Department of Medicinal Chemistry is seeking one postdoctoral fellow to work in the laboratory of Professor Yan Zhang, School of Pharmacy, Virginia Commonwealth University. We are seeking a highly motivated synthetic organic chemist, medicinal chemist, or computational chemist to join our drug design, discovery, and development program. Dr. Zhang’s lab is conducting highly interdisciplinary research focused on pre-clinical development of novel drug candidates, where we apply chemical synthesis, medicinal chemistry, biochemical and biophysical assays, and computational chemistry interactively. The successful candidate will be involved in design, synthesis, and characterization of small molecule targeting various disease treatments development.

Adjunct Instructor - Business Essentials: Communications in VCU Main Campus
The Business Essentials Unit in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a pool of applicants for adjunct faculty positions on an ongoing basis. Research Assistant, Department of Psychology in VCU Main Campus
The project consists of several community-level youth violence prevention strategies that have been implemented in Richmond city communities. As part of the evaluation of this project, we are conducting a community survey. We are currently hiring research assistants to assist with the community survey data collection, which is ongoing and anticipated to continue until late spring/early summer of 2027.
