The PhD Program in Health-Related Sciences (HRS) in the College of Health Professions at Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking an adjunct instructor for ALHP 781, Doctoral Seminar. This required course supports professional development in the health sciences through skill-building in interdisciplinary communication, teaching, and knowledge translation, while engaging students with current collaborative research. Students also develop key academic materials, including a curriculum vitae and NIH biosketch. Adjunct faculty are expected to become familiar with the PhD curriculum and comprehensive examination procedures and to participate in at least two virtual PhD faculty meetings per year.

Coastal Wetland Flux Tower Technician in VCU Main Campus
The Gough Lab seeks a full-time field technician to support measurements of carbon dioxide and methane biosphere-atmosphere exchange in restored coastal wetlands on the eastern shore of Virginia. The technician will join a collaborative team of investigators from VCU’s School of Life Sciences and Sustainability which is housed in the College of Humanities and Sciences, and partners from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, Duke University, the Nature Conservancy, and NASA examining how coastal wetland restoration practices affect carbon sequestration, methane emissions, biodiversity, and other ecosystem goods and services.
