Sooner Card has a unique opportunity in welcoming students, faculty and staff to the University of Oklahoma through the creation of the Sooner Card. The Sooner Card Student Office Assistant provides an important service to the University of Oklahoma community by welcoming new students, faculty/staff, retirees, and affiliates to OU with the creation of their Sooner Card. Hiring for Fall Positions does not guarantee Spring Semester employment. Representative Duties: The Sooner Card Student Assistant works directly with the Sooner Card Team Leads and under the Sooner Card Graduate Assistants and provides excellent customer service to a diverse community of students, staff, faculty, and their affiliates. They will assist with or be directly responsible for the following: Opening/closing the Sooner Card office with little to no supervision Printing Sooner Cards, Research Cards, etc. Daily cleaning and sanitation of workspace Answering the Phone and routing calls or taking messages Responding to emails and processing orders. Dealing with credit card, debit card, and cash transactions Other clerical tasks as required.

Performs food service, sanitation, and kitchen maintenance. Serves food with proper portion control and knowledge of menu items. Remembers special requests, and delivers food in a timely manner. Load, carry, and transport hot or cold food items or containers to customers, serving lines, designated floors or dining tables-safely, efficiently, and timely. Assists with special events across the University and across campuses that may include breakfast, luncheons and dinners, catering needs, student organizational special requests, and day-to-day events. Will often transport food items from production environment to other campus/community locations. Make space ready for catering function, to include setting up serving lines with all necessary display items and utensils. Aid cooks in preparing meals and plating food as requested by the chef or other supervising employee. Serve and pack warm foods to clients in an effective manner and in strict accordance to the orders of such clients. Clean pots, pans, and any other dishes in the kitchen as needed, adhering to safety and sanitation standards at all times. Assist with cleaning the restaurant and dining area by picking up trash, clearing and washing plates and dishes, and wiping down tables as needed. Ensure food, drinks, and other items are displayed professionally while maintaining food safety standards. Properly and safely measures, weighs and combines ingredients for quantity preparation of simple menu items. Adhere to food safety standards at all times, making sure that all food is free or contaminants and pathogens that might make customers sick. Follows up on requests with a sense of urgency. Maintains professional behavior and composure in difficult interpersonal situations. Communicates with co-workers and others in calm considerate manner. Provide efficient, friendly, and informative service following established customer service standards and departmental core purpose/core values.

Campus Operator (Fall) in Norman
OU IT is currently hiring for the position of Campus Operator. This position transfers inbound calls for the Norman and OKC campuses. Shifts take place between 8am-5pm CST, Monday through Friday. This position requires approximately 4-6 hours of paid training. This position does not involve providing IT support to callers. Services Specialist (Fall) in Norman
OU IT is currently hiring the position of Services Specialist. This position provides customer support via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions in our Service Centers. Students in this role will troubleshoot minor issues, provide technical support, and communicate with various IT teams to resolve more technically advanced customer incidents. Students will also occasionally direct inbound calls across campus as the campus operator for Norman/OKC campuses. Most shifts will take place between 8am-8pm CST, Monday through Friday. Some weekend shifts may be required. This position requires approximately one month of paid training. Due to the amount of time and effort that must be devoted to onboarding new employees, this position is not recommended for applicants who intend to work in the role for less than two academic semesters. Students hired for this position will be required to continue working with our team during most of the summer break and into the Fall semester.
