Work Schedule:

  • Supervise minors day and night for the duration of a three week summer intensive.-
  • Reside in the dorms with minors for the duration of the Intensive, including weekends.
  • Accompany minors to breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Supervise minors in dorms before, during, and after lectures or any evening activities.
  • Accompany students daily from the dorms to the studios and from the studios back to the dorms, as well as, to and from lunch at the Union
  • Attend evening dance seminars and accompany students on weekend excursions

Position Introduction:

Selected candidate will serve as a Chaperone, Rehearsal Assistant, and Counselor for the OU School of Dance Young Performers Program (YPP). Assist with coordinating all YPP activities and weekend excursions for the duration of the intensive.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise minors during the days of a one-week summer intensive.
  • Accompany minors to breakfast and lunch
  • Attend evening dance seminars and accompany students
  • Assist general program coordination and pre-programing set up prior to the arrival of YPP students.
  • Supervise student check-in, orientation, and placement class.
  • Assist in class and rehearsals when required throughout the program, including performance and post-performance receptions and rehearsals.
  • Assist with post-program breakdown

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a combination of two terms as a student at the University of Oklahoma.
  • Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
