Position Introduction:

The Student Office Assistant provides general administrative and operational support for the Dean’s Office. This position assists with daily office operations, organization of materials and supplies, campus deliveries, customer service, and special projects to support the overall efficiency and professionalism of the office environment. The role offers students the opportunity to develop organizational, communication, and administrative skills in a professional higher education setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily operations of the Dean’s Office.
  • Organize office files, supplies, storage areas, and departmental materials.
  • Deliver documents, packages, and materials across campus offices and departments.
  • Assist with preparing meeting materials, packets, and correspondence.
  • Provide front office support by greeting visitors, answering phones, and directing inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Support office staff with copying, scanning, filing, and data entry tasks.
  • Assist with event preparation, room setup, and administrative logistics for meetings and special events.
  • Monitor and restock office supplies and notify staff of inventory needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive university and personnel information.
  • Assist with special projects and related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a combination of two terms as a student at the University of Oklahoma.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current University of Oklahoma student enrollment.

  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
