Pay Range: Targeted salary of $50,300 annually, based on experience

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 to 5, with some occasional nights and weekends hours

Position Introduction:

The OU Enrollment Management Communications and Marketing (EMCOMM) team supports enrollment, recruitment, and student success by creating and coordinating marketing and communications for the Division of Enrollment Management. Based in Norman and working statewide, nationally, and globally, we send communication and marketing materials to students, supporters, and stakeholders throughout the application, decision, orientation, enrollment, and graduation process. Our goal is to build a vibrant and dynamic campus community. We seek individuals who exhibit integrity, care, intentionality, and innovation.

Essential Duties include:

  • Assists with development of printed and electronic marketing-oriented communications, ensures quality, and makes recommendations to provide strategic and effective marketing communications to targeted customer groups.
  • Writes original content for print, web, and press use by creatively compiling information collected through research, interviewing, and gathering materials from the requesting party.
  • Writes and distributes press releases.
  • Ensures the messaging is accurate, clear, and fits within branding guidelines.
  • Conducts interviews, collects data, and information needed to accurately and credibly craft marketing messages.
  • Designs print and web projects.
  • Edits, posts, and updates content on blog and web sites.
  • Assists with design, layout, and written content for electronic, print, merchandise/promotional, multi-media communications and graphic arts projects.
  • Assists with promotions, publicizes events, honors, announcements and news.
  • Reviews items for Style Guide compliance, making changes as needed.
  • Manages web site content, makes edits, and updates.
  • Discusses changes with supervisor.
  • Assists with redesigns on sites or pages for a better user experience.
  • Assists with developing and maintaining landing pages.
  • Assists with marketing campaigns, including production and publicity photos.
  • Monitors progress of projects.
  • Assists with email marketing management.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
  • 36 months experience in writing, editing, and print or digital publications.

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 84 months related experience.
