Position Introduction:
The Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost seeks a Senior Program Coordinator to coordinate and oversee academic initiatives. Exceptional organizational abilities and communication skills are crucial for success in this role.
Duties:
Awards.
Coordinate annual faculty awards process for OU Norman Campus.
Review nomination materials for accuracy and completeness prior to distribution to evaluation committees.
Serve as staff coordinator and support for faculty award evaluation committees.
Prepare documents and support materials to facilitate the annual award process.
Maintain the faculty awards website for Norman Campus.
Work closely with units and stakeholders to facilitate the annual award ceremonies.
Manage the honorary degree award process for the Provost's Office in Norman, (scheduling meetings, drafting documents, etc.).
Provide programming support for the staff and graduate student awards sponsored by the Provost's Office.
Communications.
Create, update, and distribute memos and forms from the Provost's Office to campus stakeholders.
Manage the Provost's Office memos and forms deadline calendar.
Update information on the Provost's Office website.
Councils and Committees.
Maintain committee rosters for university councils and committees.
Coordinate with Faculty and Staff Senates to fill vacancies.
Transmit changes in committee membership to stakeholders
Administrative Support.
Provide administrative support for the Provost's Office: schedule meetings, research issues, prepare documents, answer phones, assist with travel arrangements, and perform other organizational tasks for the Office.
Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
Must be detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Ability and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
Willingness to work closely with campus leaders and partners across campus to manage projects and solve problems.
