Position Introduction:
The Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History is seeking a part-time student to provide support and project assistance to the museum's administration leadership in the areas of membership, development, donor relations, and community engagement. This individual should be committed to and enthusiastic about natural and cultural history and working collegially with Museum administration, Board members, OU Foundation, and other stakeholders, within a team environment to support the Museum's strategic goals and mission.
Duties:
Assists with membership administration and services, including analysis of data, to broaden and diversify the museum's base of supporters
Assists with planning and coordinating events, special projects or assignments requiring initiative, independent action
Assists with applications and requests to achieve sponsorship, partnership, and fundraising goals and institutional priorities for museum initiatives and projects in partnership with the OU Foundation
Assists with the logistics, communication, and meetings for the Board of Visitors
Assists with representing and promoting the museum in public at external events, including corporate and community events
Works with museum teams to develop and produce print and digital publications and communication assets that articulate the museum's mission and programs, including membership communications
Other duties as assigned and as needed may include assistance with the monthly E-newsletters, website, internal and external mailing lists, annual reports, and sharing content and engaging with our audience via social media to promote natural and cultural history information
Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position
Required Education:
Must be currently enrolled in the Fall Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma.

Customer service skills
Ability to maintain donor information with care and discretion
Strong verbal communication and writing/editing skills, including knowledge of writing in AP Style
Use of Microsoft Office suite of products and interest in or familiarity with software such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools
Experience in content discovery and ability to write in a scientific or engaging style depending on target audiences
Experience with cultural management software such as Altru and online marketing software such as Constant Contact
Highly organized, detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and able to interact comfortably with media, the public, and on-camera
