    The Warehouse Assistant supports the daily operations of The Mission's warehouse by receiving, sorting, organizing, and moving donated merchandise and supplies. This position plays an important role in ensuring donated items are processed efficiently and safely to support the organization's mission. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and committed to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Duties Receive, unload, and sort donated merchandise and other incoming shipments. Organize merchandise and supplies in designated warehouse storage areas. Move inventory between receiving, storage, and retail or distribution areas as needed. Assist with preparing merchandise for display, distribution, or storage. Maintain accurate organization of inventory and warehouse materials. Help load and unload donations and deliveries. Keep warehouse aisles, workstations, and storage areas clean, safe, and free of hazards. Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization projects. Follow established safety procedures when handling merchandise and equipment. Provide support during donation drives, special events, or other organizational needs as assigned. Perform other warehouse and operational duties as assigned. Skills: Ability to organize merchandise efficiently and accurately. Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physical tasks. Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse. Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Ability to follow safety procedures and supervisor instructions.
