The Opportunity
The role is responsible for engaging with process leads, system owners, and project stakeholders to gather, define, and manage business requirements. It involves evaluating and recommending suitable digital solution options available within the business. The role also works closely with the project delivery team throughout the implementation phase to ensure the solution aligns with all agreed-upon business requirements and specifications.
As the Senior, Business Analyst, you will:

Stakeholder Relationships & Influence
- Works independently to complete most work activities
- Provides input and assists others when asked
- Builds rapport with a diverse range of individuals
- Listens and communicates clearly (verbally and in writing).
- Keeps people informed
Design and Analysis
- Conduct business analysis planning activities
- Conduct business process modelling & requirements gathering activities (e.g. CAB, TSRB, etc) to get technical aspect endorsement
- Develop and manage requirements traceability matrix
- Develop and manage requirements matrix
- Use Case development in preparation for application development
- Adhere to Thiess policies and standards
Business Case Proposal
- Conduct stakeholder analysis including clarified task and responsibilities matrix
- Identify and define business and system requirements
- Define business goals and objectives
- Complete benefits plans and return on investment analysis
- Develop business cases in collaboration with related stakeholders
Initiatives Implementation
- Lead Business Processes implementation in collaboration with Project Delivery managers
- Working closely with Change Manager for adoption strategy of new initiative/solution including training deliverable
- Assist in capture and identifying opportunities for business and process improvement, cost savings and improved efficiency
About you
Formal Education Bachelor’s
- Degree in Information Technology, Business or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Business Analysis qualifications or experience
- Business Process Model and Notation trained
Work Experience
- Relevant training and/or qualifications in Business Analysis, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Digital/Business Analyst
- An understanding of Agile Project Management methodology
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Visio and PowerPoint
- Process Automation
- Process mapping, design and modelling
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Facilitation skills

- Knowledge/Experience in Mining industry desirable (preferred)
